1. What is an entity type?
An entity type can be a body corporate; a corporation sole; a body politic; a
partnership; any other unincorporated association or body of persons; a pension fund;
a trust; a superannuation fund or an individual (note if you are an individual you are
completing the wrong form).

Partnership: Partnership means an association of persons carrying on a business as
partners or in receipt of income jointly, but does not include a company. A business
set up by two or more people who put money into the business and share the financial
risks and profits.

Company: A Company means a body registered as a company under the Companies
Act 1972 or under any other company legislation of Seychelles; or a company resident
in Seychelles, irrespective of whether or not the company is registered in Seychelles
or any other unincorporated association or body of persons but does not include a
partnership or a not for profit entity. A company is a separate legal entity and
includes all bodies or associations corporate or non-corporate, but does not include
a partnership.

Corporation Sole: A Corporate sole means a corporation consisting of
only one director; or a reference to a natural person only and that person’s
successors to a particular position, for example, an archbishop or bishop in a
church or a minister of the Crown.

Trust: A trust is the legal holding and managing of money or property
belonging to somebody else.
2. What is an entity name?
An entity name is the legal name of the entity as registered under the
relevant law with the Registrar general. You can find your entity name on the
Certificate of Registration provided by the Registrar General.
3. What is the Entity Trading Name?
The entity trading name is the business name adopted by the entity for
commercial trading. The entity trading name could be the same as the entity name
or the brand of your product or the commercial name used for trading.
4. What is a Seychelles Licensing Number?
A Seychelles Licensing Number is the number provided by the Seychelles
Licensing Authority upon application of a license to start a business. The Seychelles
Licensing Number can be found on your license or can be obtained from the Seychelles
Licensing Authority.
5. What is a subsidiary company?
A subsidiary company is a company that has more than half of its stock
owned by another company and is controlled by that other company.
6. Where is the business main location?
The main address where the business is located or based.
7. What is the business postal address?
The address where we can send mail or correspondence to you.
8.What is your position held?
The title of your responsibility in the business.
9. Is your tax agent your authorized contact?
Have you authorized your tax agent as the person to be contacted in relation
to all your tax affairs.
10. What is Withholding?
Some businesses are required to withhold tax from payments to other entities.
Where this is the case the business must register for withholding first. Find

Application for SBN Registration for Individuals (Sole Traders)
1. What is a sole trader?
A sole trader is an individual who is the sole owner of a business that is neither
a partnership nor a company
2. What is your Trading Name?
Your trading name is the business name adopted by you for commercial trading. The
trading name could be the same as your name or the brand of your product or the
commercial name you registered with the Registrar under the Registration of the Business
Names Act 1972.
3. Do you have a Business Registration Number?
A business registration number is a 6 digits number (Example: 100001) on the Certificate of Registration when
you register your business name at the Registrar. If the BRN
is less than 6 digits, contact the Business registrar to get your 6 digits BRN.
4. What is a Seychelles Licensing Number?
